3 out of 4 is actually pretty bad

By ronnie

When you are working with a recipe with 4 ingredients, it is especially embarrassing to omit one. And if this is a recipe for bread that you make over and over and over again, it makes you seem especially foolish.

Did all that running shake all of my baking knowledge out of my head? Is this the price I must pay for actually starting to enjoy my runs? Maybe if I secretly add a cup of salt to the olive oil no one will notice how bland the bread is. Dammit.

  1. It’s Tuscan bread! It was totally on purpose!

      just like your egg-less brioche?

      • Hey, I saved that. It was egg-less DOUGH, but the bread totally has all the ingredients.

And Tuscan bread doesn’t have salt! I AM DEFENDING YOU, JERK!

  2. Did you forget the salt? I do that so often that now I try to remember to bring the salt shaker out ahead of time. (Terrible mistake, the bread looks great because there is nothing to keep it from rising like crazy, but it tastes like paste!)

Mmm…paste! I found that if I use it in a sandwich it’s pretty good as long as I put extra salt on the fixings. The crust actually came out really well, the Boyfriend actually liked it a lot.

  3. IT TASTES EXTRA WHEATY.
